This is a great pad for technical trails, with the best side impact protection for the knees and a very quick and comfy fit system. The knee/shin joint doesn't articulate that well though, so the top straps have to be slackened for pedalling, but they still felt good and didn't move about. They're not that cheap, but you do get what you pay for.

More FR than XC but still a great performer
