Top Features of the Race Face Revolution Road Seat Post
The Revolution seat post sets the standard for performance road posts. It features an innovative, patented head design which offers maximum adjustability while minimizing weight.
- Forged and CNC machined from 6061 aluminium, the head assembly is incredibly strong and fatigue resistant
- Patent pending head design is lightweight and distributes loads more efficiently than conventional seatpost head designs
- Offers unprecedented adjustability - with infinite tilt adjustment completely independent from the fore/aft adjustment
- Side clamping rail system distributes loads to the clamp, rather than the bolt; virtually eliminating the possibility of broken bolts
- The head accommodates 7mm rails while providing 35mm of rail support
- Features a 0.5" offset
- The tube is anodized and shot peened for increased fatigue life
- MTB
The seatpost tube is manufactured from 7050 heat-treated aluminium for the optimal strength to weight ratio and Race Face's triple butting process maintains strength in critical areas while reducing overall weight.
About Seat Posts
A good quality seat post will save weight and hold your saddle securely. Seatposts are made in various materials, alloy and carbon being the two most common, alloy posts are lightweight, durable and cost efficient, while carbon posts are the popular choice for top end machines. Seat posts vary in where they hold the saddle relative to their own centre line so make sure you have enough adjustment on your saddle rails to allow for this or you could end up with your saddle too far forwards. A seat post needs to fit your frame exactly and are measured by as little as 0.2mm. When choosing a new one, either read off the measurement from your old seat post or measure it carefully with a vernier calliper. Make sure you lubricate the frame (unless they're carbon fibre) before insertion or you'll struggle to get it out again.

Magazine reviews for Race Face Revolution Road Seat Post
Review from Bikeradar
Race Face's seatpost design looks complex but it's simple to use. You clamp your saddle rails into the head, then move the cantilevered collar until you're happy with the tilt before tightening it in place.
With our 27.2mm diameter/350mm length version hitting the scales at 218g, it's light for an aluminium post too. The tube is triple butted to keep material only where it's needed, while the head, which is laid back 17mm from the centre, takes 7mm rails - the round kind.
Available in 27.2 and 31.6mm diameters and 300, and 350mm lengths.
In conclusion...
Effective design that's much lighter than it looks
