Award Winning Global Tri-Sport Shop
Its Teutonic roots cannot be hidden in this sleek utilitarian design. What do you get? You get a large welded, waterproof tarpaulin box compartment with a stiffened plastic sheet to keep the back rigid (and presumably you getting poked in the kidneys). The top of the pack is done up by the idiot proof and incredibly weatherproof roll top system that Ortlieb brought to the market all those years ago. The back of the pack is made up of foam pads to protect your back proper with a waist belt and shoulder strap to keep it attached to your back. Finally you can secure a bit more with a chest strap. If you want to segregate your bag into compartments and dividers they are all available (phone holders, dividers, tool pouches...) as extras from around a tenner each. One that particularly seems to make sense is the external U-Lock holder.
I've used this for commuting down a filthy, muddy wet canal path for the last couple of months and it has worked faultlessly. No leaks, you can wipe it down when you get home and it's just one of those products. It's simplicity and utilitarian nature makes you warm to it; its lack of attempt as fashionability makes it all the more desirable
