Alternative to Ortlieb Handlebar Bag Mount
I have the genuine Ortlieb Handlebar Bag Mount on my Surly LHT but because of the cable retainer it is not easily swappable to other bikes. The Rixen Kaul Klickfix Caddy is perfect for mounting the Ortlieb Handlebar Bag to my folding Bike Friday NWT.
The Caddy mounts securely on a vertical tube where space is available. It would fit on the seat post as an option or even facing backwards on the steerer tube. Retaining bolts are posi-drive (Phillips head) and the thread is tight to prevent losing the bolts.
The bag attachment method is different from Ortlieb's but no less secure. Unlike the Ortlieb bracket, this one cannot be locked so the bag is vulnerable to opportunity theft.
Not available in other colours. The Caddy is at the upper limit of what a bracket should cost but it does the job that no other item does and is well designed and made.

Rixen Kaul KLICKfix Caddy Post
Got fed up with small bar bag affecting the steering. Bought this clamp so I could mount the barbag on my seat post.
It really needs to be about 30mm longer for this application as my thighs just touch the bag (this will obviously depend on saddle position). However, I didn't want the longer "seat post extender bracket"

For when you need to bring a compatible bag
I use this because I have an Ortlieb Ultimate 5 Plus. That came with a mount that is now on another bicycle.
This is far more solidly built than the usual plastic bits that make up bicycle accessories (especially lights mounts, bottle holders). But still small and not very obtrusive. Unlike the handlebar mounts.
Comes with a rubber stick on to the inside surfaces of the mount, so that it’s not plastic-on-metal. Good on folding bicycles since the bag can be mounted lower and away from cables.
Welcome to the Ortlieb, Klickfix, Agu, Basil bag market.
