This issue has a distinctly international feel, with Seb Kemp reporting from Nepal (with photos from Dan Barham) and exploring the history of the Canadian North Shore, assisted by the photography of Sterling Lorence. Elsewhere, Andy Waterman covers the the inaugural World Endurance Mountain Bike Organisation (WEMBO) World Solo 24hr Champs in Italy and wonders how many "World Championships" the solo 24 niche can sustain.
Meanwhile in the States, Seb Rogers takes a culinary tour of renowned gastronome Keith Bontrager's kitchen garden, and then visits Santa Cruz bikes, alongside Privateer writer Mike Davis. Back in the UK, Tym Manley gets to grips with Rob Warner, the man, the legend, and love him or loathe him (because like Marmite, there's no middle ground with Rob Warner), the voice of modern mountain biking.
Over in Europe, former road professional Tom Southam lifts the lid on those mountain bike racers who sell their souls to the road in search of glamour, glory and fast money - do they ever miss the solitary satisfaction of a life on singletrack? Sticking with racing, Oli Beckingsale reminisces on life as an Olympian, and then last but not least, we've compiled a gallery of some great images, loosely themed around the idea of 'Escape'.
