The KING3" project has taken a another step forward with the birth of the "RS" models (RS and RS Custom) in which the on-road performance of the frame has been heightened further through the new carbon fabric composition used.
Continuous research into composite materials has revealed how the integration of 10% T-700SC (+ 50% High Modulus) and 46T HS40 Carbon Pre-Preg (+ 40% High Strength 60T) guarantees outstanding characteristics in a racing frame such as increased lightness, high degree of rigidity, excellent vibration absorption and extraordinary acceleration and drivability.
The new KING3 RS is built as a monocoque on the base and shapes of the KING3; it weighs less than one kilogramme. 10% lower than the classical model. For the record, this new frame was used successfully by professionals during the last Giro d'Italia, to great effect in the opinion of the racers themselves.

Road frames have come a long way in recent years with new advancements in technology and materials. Carbon fibre, aluminium and titanium are all widely used now as well as the more traditional steel tubesets. They all have their own advantages: aluminium offers good performance at a reasonable price, titanium offers ultimate performance at a premium price while carbon fibre offers superb comfort and performance at intermediate cost. It is not uncommon for the materials to be mixed to give the benefits of all the materials in one frame - a carbon fibre rear end on an aluminium frame, for example.
