The Fastwitch 5 is Saucony's latest update to their most-successful racing shoe ever. The Fastwitch has become an industry standard against which other racers are judged. This version adds more features and protection to the shoe, but does not add any additional weight! Fastwitch 5 is lower to the ground, yet the midsole is slightly bolstered to increase protection and support. Even if you're a mild to moderate pronator looking for a race shoe then the Fastwitch is for you.
Saucony have also brought in high-frequency welding on the upper which cuts down the need for heavier overlays and panels of stitching therefore reducing the chance of irritation and blisters, particularly for those runners who want to go without socks.
In the heel there are two pods of memory foam which mould to the shape of your foot giving a customised fit after just a couple of runs. Overall, whether you're neutral or in need of mild to moderate support the Fastwitch is the perfect shoe for all distances up to the marathon

About Racing Running Shoes
Racing shoes are ultra-lightweight, built on a curved last and stripped of the majority of cushioning and stability features found on most training shoes. Generally, the lighter the shoe, the more minimalist the design. You should choose these if you’re a fast, elite runner concerned predominantly with weight. Unless you’re very light, these aren’t for you if you run a marathon outside 2:45, or 1:30 for a half.
