I'm trying to choose between the ordinary photochromatic lenses and the polar photochromatic lenses. The polar would be fantastic for day time cycling (and running), but I also ride pre-dawn and dusk and think perhaps they will be too dark for this? Similarly, if anyone has thoughts on whether the non-polar version can cope with bright sunny (Aussie) days, I'd love to hear from you.

Whether the non-polar glasses can cope with the Australian sun I unfortunately couldn't say but I imagine they would be fine unless you are looking directly at the sun, which isn't advisable.
