Very powerful pan and zoom features: An excellent fast map update allows for rapid panning across the map, and the zooming allows users to enlarge map detail by up to 5 times - or to zoom out and see a larger map area for planning.
Visual route planning: Enter your own points (unlimited) for personal route planning. The flashing red dot tells you exactly where you are and a 'snail trail' shows you exactly where you have been.
Points of Interest (POI): Users can annotate maps by adding their own POIs with text information. Customised or Special Feature map packs can include audio visual POIs when produced.
Multi map scales on one map card: The most comprehensive range of maps available: from standard Explorer and Landranger maps for the whole of the country to custom maps made to order. Maps are not locked to the unit and can be shared with friends.

About GPS Cycle Computers
GPS receivers are now made waterproof, lightweight and small enough to fit on a bike easily. There are 2 basic choices to take on your bike: a GPS unit designed primarily for navigation with a dedicated bike mount, particularly suitable for cycle touring and finding your way in unfamiliar territory, like the Garmin eTrex Vista Cx; or a dedicated bike computer that uses GPS to track your training routes and provide detailed analysis of your workout like the Edge 305, with more limited navigation capabilities. Most units come with only very basic maps installed and you may need to purchase more detailed maps for your area to be loaded onto the unit for navigation.
