The “Vario-Flex” Vehicle Mount has been designed for using the Active 10 GPS unit in motor vehicles and is suitable for any windscreen, flat smooth surface or self-adhesive disc.

This product is suitable for both drivers of off-road vehicles where navigation on accurate topographical mapping is a must, but also for general motoring through towns, in the countryside or on the motorway - where a digital topographical map is preferred over the more common raster mapping.
The Vehicle Mount is a tough unit with a strong vacuum-type suction cup for glass fitting and can be adjusted and flexed as required for maximum visibility and comfort. The mount is an adapted Herbert Richter Vario-Flex System which comes with a pair of mounting stems of differing length, Satmap GPS adapter plate and an Active 10 T-section battery back.
The Vehicle Mount contains all of the components you need to attach the Active 10 to the mount.
Which vehicle mount is right for me? The Vario-Flex is ideal for quick re-positioning, and quick adjustment. It comes with a choice of long and short mounting stems, and so is ideal for a wide variety of situations. The Standard version is totally rigid, and of fixed length. It has 2 screw adjusters to allow for correct positioning at any angle.

GPS receivers are now made waterproof, lightweight and small enough to fit on a bike easily. There are 2 basic choices to take on your bike: a GPS unit designed primarily for navigation with a dedicated bike mount, particularly suitable for cycle touring and finding your way in unfamiliar territory, like the Garmin eTrex Vista Cx; or a dedicated bike computer that uses GPS to track your training routes and provide detailed analysis of your workout like the Edge 305, with more limited navigation capabilities. Most units come with only very basic maps installed and you may need to purchase more detailed maps for your area to be loaded onto the unit for navigation.
