The Original Hattori uses a cutting-edge hook-and-loop system coupled with the elastic-based upper to provide a great fit. To compliment this, the Hattori LC offers all the same features as the Hattori, but has a traditional lacing system to provide a fully adjustable, snug and secure fit.

A shoe that is literally and extension of your foot and fits like a sock. The Hattori is the most minimal shoe in Saucony’s line-up and will bring you even closer to barefoot running.

The essence of the Hattori is the zero-drop midsole which positions your heel and forefoot at the same level, unlike standard running shoes which have a built up heel positioning the rear of the foot around 20mm above the forefoot. By using a zero-drop shoe, the foot is able to move more naturally and encourages the runner to land on the forefoot and midfoot areas thereby increasing cadence and promoting natural motion.

It is important to remember that Minimalist shoes change the impact on your feet and legs. Just as you shouldn’t make excessive changes to your training regime in terms of mileage or intensity, neither should you try to make immediate changes in your running style. The body needs to be given time to become accustomed to new techniques. It is important to build up slowly and to alternate between running in minimalist shoes and running in “normal” training shoes.
