About Cushion Running Shoes
To determine the correct type of running shoe for your feet, use the tried and tested "wet foot test". Dip your foot into water and then stand on a surface that will show your footprint - a towel or piece of paper or cardboard. The shape of your wet footprint indicates the amount of stability you might need in your shoe. If your footprint looks like the one on the right (with a very narrow band or no band at all between the forefoot and the heel) then you should choose shoes from the cushion category on this page Cushioned shoes generally have the softest midsoles and the least added stability. They're built on a semicurved or curved last to encourage foot motion, which is helpful for runners who have rigid, immobile feet (underpronators). You should buy these if you're an efficient runner whose feet don't roll inwards excessively (overpronate) when you run.
About the Saucony brand
From the GRID cushioning system through Custom Ride Management to dual density midsoles, all Saucony's technologies are based on concepts which have been tried and tested over many years. Furthermore all are conceived from sound principals, based on extensive biomechanical research and developement. Be it in the search for comfort or injury prevention.

Product Q & A
Ask your questions and share your answers.
At first (4-6 weeks) my calves got very fatigued. Running in the Kinvara it's very difficult NOT to strike the ground with the fore or mid-foot rather than the heel. However now I'm used to running like this it feels so much more natural.
Regardless, from day 1 the Kinvara were light and very comfortable and I can't say I really noticed the lack of cushioning.
Size-wise, my size 11 Kinvaras replaced size 11 Cumulus and the fit was just the same.
I find them very lightweight and comfortable. I have not run in Asics - mostly nike in the past and new balance occasionally.
Just start out easy and increase length and intensity and youll be fine.
If you feel that you need some more protection. The mirage model is the perfect in between shoe. Same drop but slight pronation protection and some more weight. But still relatively lightweight.
The kinvaras are not so comfy on top of the foot as the mirages. Watch out for pressure zones and dont tighten the laces too hard.
The mirages comes half a size larger in same size number.
