The new Fastwitch 4 develops Saucony's very successful lightweight racing shoe one step further. The mesh upper has been upgraded again to improve comfort, moisture management and airflow. The shoe is now lighter than it's ever been, but still offers the raceday medial support which is sufficient for many runners to take them the full marathon race distance.
The Fastwitch 4 uses the same midsole and outsole combination as the (220 Shoe of the Year-nominated) Fastwitch 3, but improves the upper with a higher-tech mesh, which is more breathable, and provides improved moisture management properties than it's predecessor. The overlays around the forefoot have also been remodelled, so they provide the same support with less irritation, this is a particular benefit when going sock-free!

About Racing Running Shoes
Racing shoes are ultra-lightweight, built on a curved last and stripped of the majority of cushioning and stability features found on most training shoes. Generally, the lighter the shoe, the more minimalist the design. You should choose these if you’re a fast, elite runner concerned predominantly with weight. Unless you’re very light, these aren’t for you if you run a marathon outside 2:45, or 1:30 for a half.
