The Jazz is the longest serving shoe in the Saucony range, and this off-road version has been winning plaudits for almost as long. The updated Jazz 15 TR has multi-directional lugs on the outsole for grip in even the most demanding of off-road conditions.
The Jazz TR has always been is an ideal off-road shoe as it’s essentially a very simple construction with ProGrid in the heel and HRC in the forefoot providing the impact protection and the traditional triangular lugged outsole giving stacks of grip.
The Jazz 15 TR is robust, cushioned and durable, whilst also being very light and flexible for a trail shoe. The Jazz TR is a great choice for those runners who combine off and on road sections in one run, as it offers a great compromise of attributes.
About Offroad Running Shoes
Offroad or "trail" shoes offer increased outsole traction and uppers with toe bumpers and reinforced stitching for more durability. The foot often sits slightly lower to the ground than usual for stability and responsiveness. Offroad shoes often have less cushioning than a road shoe because they're designed for softer surfaces. You should choose offroad shoes if you do a lot of off-road running and need shoes with extra traction, more durable uppers and extra protection from the terrain.
