Form and function strike a perfect balance in the new Triumph 10. This colour is sold exclusively in the UK.
The Triumph has been Saucony’s top-selling neutral shoe for many years and the latest evolution adds even further to the luxury cushioning and also improves the fit by becoming snugger around instep (lace) area.
The breathable open mesh and supportive underlays provide a clean, modern look while securing the foot to the platform, giving the shoe an inherent stability rather than rigidity. The redesigned crash pad at the heel features three de-coupled, independently responsive pads for a smooth landing and efficient transition.
The plushness of previous Triumphs is retained and developed by the deeper flex grooves in the forefoot which also add flexibility. The top-end PowerGrid midsole technology provides a plush ride for the runner seeking a cushioned feel.
To determine the correct type of running shoe for your feet, use the tried and tested "wet foot test". Dip your foot into water and then stand on a surface that will show your footprint - a towel or piece of paper or cardboard. The shape of your wet footprint indicates the amount of stability you might need in your shoe. If your footprint looks like the one on the right (with a very narrow band or no band at all between the forefoot and the heel) then you should choose shoes from the cushion category on this page Cushioned shoes generally have the softest midsoles and the least added stability. They're built on a semicurved or curved last to encourage foot motion, which is helpful for runners who have rigid, immobile feet (underpronators). You should buy these if you're an efficient runner whose feet don't roll inwards excessively (overpronate) when you run.
From the GRID cushioning system through Custom Ride Management to dual density midsoles, all Saucony's technologies are based on concepts which have been tried and tested over many years. Furthermore all are conceived from sound principals, based on extensive biomechanical research and developement. Be it in the search for comfort or injury prevention.
