About Road Race Tyres
These tyres are for racing style bikes that use clincher/hooked rims, these are the most common fitment and hook onto the rim and require an inner tube. There is a wide choice of tyres within this category and the right choice is important. Lighter tyres will accelerate quickly, but will be more prone to punctures so getting a balance is extremely important. If you require a tyre for all round use look for something with puncture protection, an average TPI(Threads Per Inch) and average weight. If you require a fast tyre and speed is the only thing that matters look for a low weight folding tyre with high TPI. If durability is your priority and speed is not so important look towards the puncture resistant tyres and consider going for a wider tyre, these will be less prone to punctures and offer a bit more comfort. For wet road conditions a triple compound or winter tyre is a good choice, these use a softer compound on the cornering surface to maximise grip.
About the Schwalbe brand
For over 70 years Schwalbe have dominated the two wheeled tyre industry in Germany and Europe, being voted best MTB tyre brand in Germany for the past two years. From the very early beginnings where the company founder, Earnest-Wilhelm Bohle capitalised on the developing cycle industry, to the ultra modern distribution facility near Cologne, Schwalbe have continued to design and manufacture some of the finest bicycle tyres available. Schwalbe's success is due in part to the effort it makes in product development from lab tests at the manufacturing facility to the hardest proving grounds of all, professional cycle racing. 'Team Gerolsteiner' achieved a very creditable 7th place overall in the 2004 Tour de France and the unique performance of team captain Davide Rebellin winning three major classic races back to back using Schwalbe tyre. Other notable succeses include Normann Stadler winning the infamous Ironman triathlon in Hawaii, riding Schwalbe Stelvio tyres.

Product Q & A

You can fit 700c tyres on any rim which size is 622c.
Regarding the width, your wheel is 622x13 so you have the choice of tyre sizes between 700x20c to 700x28c.
I used both, marathon for touring and mixed routes and durano for road bike, wich is its original purpose.
Marathon Plus is heavy and rigid, very different.
Anyway I've used durano plus for almost 4000kms without punctures.
Excuses for my poor english ;)
The M+ is a heavier tyre and much more durable. I put 5000+ miles on a pair of M+ tyres. The rear tyre looks like it's got another 5000 miles in it, the front tyre looks like it's barely used. Seriously, if I cleaned it up and told someone it had just been round the block a couple of times they'd probably believe me.
The D+ is lighter, rolls faster, but doesn't last anywhere near as long. After 2000 miles my rear D+ tyre is no more. The front one still looks OK, it's probably got nearly 3000 miles on it. I'm a heavier rider - a smidge over 100kg, so I'm pushing the limits of the weight rating on the tyre at the back. The tyre at the front is within limits (assuming approx 60-40 weight distribution).
If you want to do even light offroading the M+ is probably the one to go for. I took in short sections of canal towpaths (compressed gravel, not mud) on the D+ and they coped OK. The M+ coped much better with less grippy surfaces. Neither are great in the mud but the M+ wins slightly.
If you're staying on the road and want speed go for the D+. If you want endless durability and near bombproof protection the M+ has more protection than the D+, but be aware that if you do get a flat you'll be there for a while fixing it.
You will need more than one tyre lever to get either tyre off, and chances are you'll also need levers to get them back on again.
With M+ tyres I got one flat in about 5000 miles (caused by a hawthorn spike), with the D+ I got one flat in 3000 miles (caused by a sliver of glass).
So for normal use I prefer the D+, if I was commuting to work where extra weight was a price worth paying to not be late for work because I was fixing a flat in the rain I'd go for the M+.
If you only ride on roads or comuting you will like them.I sugest 700x25,very confortable
