About City Tyres
These tyres are designed to meet the rigours of city/trail riding and will fit Hybrid styled bikes, they are wider than a road race tyre to offer a larger contact area with the road and will provide more comfort. Wider tyres are less prone to punctures and will provide more grip. Within this range we offer semi slick or knobbly tyres, the semi slick tyres will be ideal for road use and the knobbly style will provide more grip for light trail use or loose surfaces such as gravel.
About the Schwalbe brand
For over 70 years Schwalbe have dominated the two wheeled tyre industry in Germany and Europe, being voted best MTB tyre brand in Germany for the past two years. From the very early beginnings where the company founder, Earnest-Wilhelm Bohle capitalised on the developing cycle industry, to the ultra modern distribution facility near Cologne, Schwalbe have continued to design and manufacture some of the finest bicycle tyres available. Schwalbe's success is due in part to the effort it makes in product development from lab tests at the manufacturing facility to the hardest proving grounds of all, professional cycle racing. 'Team Gerolsteiner' achieved a very creditable 7th place overall in the 2004 Tour de France and the unique performance of team captain Davide Rebellin winning three major classic races back to back using Schwalbe tyre. Other notable succeses include Normann Stadler winning the infamous Ironman triathlon in Hawaii, riding Schwalbe Stelvio tyres.

Product Q & A
Ask your questions and share your answers.
I believe they should fit, so I could use the bike for a bit of on road and dirt track touring with (panniers etc) while having much less rolling resistance than the current 2.2 tyres I use for MTBing.
Any advice appreciated?
Forums say its fine so long as tyres are wide enough.
Thanks in advance.
Schwable are pretty good puncture resistance and the size you are talking about would be comfortable on the terrain you describe. When on the road, at a decent pressure, the rolling resistance is very good, soften the pressure a little for tracks or off road and the grip will improve on looser stuff.
I haven't taken them off my mountain bike yet and they have coped really well with pretty rough stuff too.
Any advice gratefully received!
