The AeroComfort Plus is the perfect solution for cyclists wishing to protect
their precious load when travelling by plane but don’t want to use a hard
case, which can (for example) be difficult to fit inside small cars.
The AeroComfort Plus offers the flexibility and lightness of soft bags,
combined with the stability and safety of a hard case. It comes with the
Antishock Bike Frame which protects all critical parts from impacts and
vibrations.
AeroComfort Plus has been carefully designed around the bikes geometry:
you don’t even need to remove the handlebars. Your bike can be stowed
very easily; you just have to store the wheels in the individual padded
wheel compartments.
Many teams prefer this solution because it’s easy to store bikes in the
truck while still guaranteeing great bike protection.
A soft bike bag is designed to protect your bike from knocks and scratches whilst being transported, and to protect your car from mud and oil. If you are planning on transporting your bike any distance look for tough, thickly padded bags or consider buying a Hard Case instead

As I sit here looking at snow beginning to fall in Edinburgh, the idea of riding my bike, let alone travelling anywhere far flung to do so seems far from my mind, however now is the perfect time to have those thoughts, and get a bike bag on your Christmas list!
Scicon are an Italian based company specialising in all things bag and bike related, from saddle bags to their all singing all dancing hard travel cases and everything in between (including tyre covers, saddle rain covers and more, it really is something for everyone!). There is no UK distributor at present but you can buy direct from Italy or via the likes of Wiggle.
The model we got was their Travel Plus MTB which is billed as perfect for travel by car or train which means it is slightly less padded than some other bags I have used in the past, the benefit of this is that it folds down nice and small, in fact it fits into my Timbuk2 courier bag it goes that small, ideal since I got rid of my old bag as it took up so much space in the cupboard for relatively little use!
The bag features all the bells and whistles you would expect from a bag at 200 quid+; high quality water resistant material, hardwearing base, internal wheel pockets and double stitching on all key seams. Now while I would love to say I had taken it on a round the World trip to put it through it's paces, times are tight at Descent-World and chucking it in the back of the car to head down to Innerleithen had to suffice, a job which it handled with ease. As for anything further afield, I wouldn't suggest it's the best bag for putting your DH bike in it to travel far afield but for a XC bike or road bike on shorter flights (ie. not too many connections/baggage handlers) I would feel comfortable with a bit of extra padding in there.
