This works for me To me this tastes very little different to straight water in most proportions. Because it is Isotonic you can fill all your bottles with it and not bother with additional solid food or ordinary water on day rides so it makes things simple. I drink it regularly on a ride and the pangs of hunger and fatigue just don't seem to come, even after 7 or 8 hours. I wish I'd had this 25 years ago when i raced. It doen't atack your teeth like some of the other energy drinks. Use Rego recovery when you get home. 10 July 2010

PSP222 - great fuel! I have been very impressed by PSP222. I chose the original version, ie no flavour. I tried it like this first and it was perfectly palatable, not overly sweet or sickly. Subsequently I added a little cranberry juice and found the added flavour equally good. In terms of the energy it provided, I found PSP222 to provide an excellent fuelling for sustained cycling at the recommended concentration. Criticism? Well, some measuring tool such as a spoon would have been useful (I think SIS's own drinking bottle has marked levels) but I chose to weigh the powder using kitchen scales. It mixes well with water, with an enthusiastic shake... 18 June 2010

good buy First time that I have tried the naturalversion of this SIS product. You make up to the req'd strength with any fruit squash if you need a sweet taste or as I did with unsweetened fruit juice. Used to good effect in a 100TT. 01 August 2011

Tasteless PSP22 is a great sports drink. I usually buy the orange flavoured one but thought i would give this flavour a try. Unfortunately it tastes of nothing. Your drink tastes just like plain old tap water. 25 July 2011

Artificial sweetners

Does PSP22 Original still not have any artificial sweeteners?

It was one of the only energy drinks without, but I haven't used it for a few years, so hope they haven't changed the formulation.
