I love this stuff
This really works for me. Palatable and refreshing to drink, relatively easy to mix and it really does seem to reduce the effects of fatigue the morning after.

Great Product
I was sceptical at purchsing this at first. However it is great. I train early in the morning and this has now replaced my Breakfast as I feel full after having it. I bought strawberry and it tastes fine. Will definately be getting more of this.

The description suggest that the product includes whey proteins, the ingredients say soya. I know SIS offer both. I guess this is soya but it should be clearer. I wonder if Wiggle offer the whey option.

I do a daily 30km commute in the hills of south Belgium so it is great riding with little traffic. I push it both ways and am always looking to improve.
Is it worth buying recovery drinks as it is only a dauily 30km or is it better to eat sensibly before and after?

If your legs feel heavy and stiff the next day, then buy some the difference it makes is unbelieveable it really is you can't go wrong.However if you feel fine then just eat well and keep hydrated. I commute 20 miles per day 5 days per week but i don't use recovery for that, i use it after a long weekend ride.Country : United Kingdom

Personally, when I've done a normal run or ride, not too hard, I just mix up a small glass of the Rego recovery mix, not a full bottle. It fills me up nicely so I don't snack, and I also believe the literature which tells us that protein within 20 minutes of excerise helps the body to translate the work we've done into new muscle. Why not get a smaller bottle and try it, see if you feel a difference?Answer:
As a recovery product it is fantastic. If you work hard for the 30km this product will be well suited to your needs. It is not going to make you a better athlete but it will assist in recovery and enable you to work hard again sooner.Highly recomended.

If I were you I'd combine what you're doing at the moment by mixing a recovery shake with a banana and milk in a smoothie machine or something similar. That way you're getting specialist nutrients via the recovery powder and conventional food in. That's what I do and it works for me.Answer:
I love energy drinks, I really think they work, but they a quite expensive to be using every day.If I was you I would have a steady paced ride three days a week and two days of flat out, and only use the energy drinks on the hard rides you do, for the rest of the time stick to healthy food, and have a glass of milk after your normal ride, it will work out much cheaper.

I use a recovery drink on a 32KM commute when I get to the office. I don't bother on the way home as I eat my supper as soon as i'm back.Works for me and I believe the hype that it helps your immune system fight off those office germs.

I guess a lot of it depends on your own particular fitness and metabolism, how you feel after the ride and your recovery rate. Some of my friends use Rego Recovery, but it gives me wind ! Now I tend to just eat the recommended proteins (tuna) and carbs (pasta) and immediately after a ride (even a short 20 miler) I make my own electrolyte drink. A pinch of sea salt, 1-2 teaspoons of Agave Nectar or honey and some lemon juice in a pint of weak-ish Ribena.Rego is popular and tastes ok. An alternative that many people I know use is Hi-5. The latter works well with me.
