We see this saddle on more touring and distance riders' seatposts than any other. It's wider and more padded than dedicated race models, but still feels supportive and allows free pedalling movement. It suits a slightly more upright riding position and the padding's supportive enough to keep you happy on long rides. There's a long, wide, centre cut-out, the length is quite stubby and the nose doesn't seem to cause any rubbing. This years' version sees an update to the logos and styling, with bonus reflective marks and five colour options. An old Lady Gel Flow of ours has become faded and worn from two tours in the Himalayas, but the stitching and shape are still holding up really well. The upper is made of leather while the rails are manganese.

In conclusion...

This is an excellent touring option thanks to the supportive padding.

Worth the money I hesitated for ages over buying this saddle as it's not cheap, but spurred on by the other reviews here I took the plunge in time for riding London-Brighton. I wasn't disappointed - compared to the last long distance ride on my hard, thin saddle it was far superior. I still wore padded shorts. My commute to work is also much more comfortable, I thoroughly recommend it - as long as you are a regular rider it's worth the money. 09 July 2010

Ladies saddle I have used this saddle or the pre-cursor to it for the past 10 years and have never looked back! Having tried other ladies designs and been disappointed I was delighted to finally find a saddle that I could cycle for 40miles+ without beginning to shift about coz of soreness... I will continue using it and replacing with the same model as long as it exists. 28 June 2010

Cheap but so good! It was time to upgrade the winter bike seat. I had a very happy time on a top of the range Selle Italia Lady Gel Flow and so I thought I go for this cheaper version for winter training. I was amazed from the first ride... a 50 miler, of the comfort offered. I thought it would have been not so pleasant by the end of it but it offers the same comfort as the top saddle in the range! Straight away it was just righ! Ok it looks a bit bulky and not so light but that is not an issue on the training bike. 16 November 2009

Suits my wife Bought this to replace a Fizik Donna that came with my wife's new C'Dale Evo. She is much happier with this. She has this saddle on her 3 bikes and wouldn't ride anything else. Good value for the quality of the saddle. 23 January 2013

No problem if you have a micro-adjust seat post. Most of these have a single allen bolt fitting requiring a 6mm allen key. You may need to raise the seat post for access - use a 5mm or possibly 4mm key to loosen the clamp at the top of the bike frame downtube. After fitting tighten allen bolts firmly by hand - be careful not to over-tighten.

It does depend on you seat post fittings. It has standard width rails. You will have to have the fitting on your seat post that the rails fit into, and usually this requires an Allen key for tightening the bolt. It was very easy to fit with the kind of clamp that I have on my seat post and I have had no problems. If you have any doubts ask at any good bike shop.

Is it waterproof?

I am planning on using this saddle on a triathlon bike so am worried the leather might get soggy when I am sitting in my wet tri-suit

It is leather and will absorb water. I would not recommend using it with a wet suit unless you purchase a waterproof cover or use a plastic bag to protect it.

Hi, I use these for training and racing. When checking into transition (overnight) I always tie a plastic bag over seat in case of rain, dew. Never had a sog problem post race.

Well its leather so that will help it dosent have perforated holes so wet wont sink through the saddle but even leather will perish evetually getting continually wet but i would have thought you would get a few years befote it perishes.

Leather is inherently waterproof to some degree, I ride the Selle Italia leather saddles in all seasons on my road bike and MTB with no issues resulting from the moisture and mud.
