Inserting the rail into a wing located on each side creates suspension in the rear of the saddle. With extra padding and specific soft tissue relief design that reduces the pressure where needed most.

Well worth the money I bought the Selle Italia saddle to replace the Boardman saddle on my Team carbon. I can honestly say it's the best £85.00 I've ever spent. I'd been struggling with numbness and forever shifting around on my old saddle, and a 50 mile ride was quite painful. Since I've had the Selle gel flow, I've been on a few 30 mile rides and have no pian/numbness at all. Having said that it's well worth having a professional bike set up for angles etc (not just saddle height) Once you've had the set up (usually takes 2 1/2-3 hours if you have the cleat set up too) you'll always have the correct setting. If you're suffering with numbness etc, buy this saddle now..... 14 July 2010

SHould have been more comfy I bought this seat going on everyones reviews saying that it was a really nice comfy seat. Unfortunately my bottom must be a different shape to all those people as while this seat is still on my bike its only becuase I'm too lazy to swap it back out. My original seat was a FELT 1.3 Road Saddle and I was happy with that shape but wanted more paddng, this looked like the answer. I commute with the bike this seat is on and even on the 5km trips it can be uncomfortable and yes thats with my good quality new cycling shorts on. Wrapping up, this saddle may suit a lot of people, unfortunately I am not one of them....aaahhhh the search goes on. 05 July 2010

Long distance comfort! This saddle has took a while to bed in but I am so glad I persevered. The cutout provided an immediate improvement over the factory fitted saddle on my Focus, but the seat itself was not totally comfy until I'd done about 500 miles on it! Superb comfort now whilst providing a varied seating position for climbing etc. Will be changing my Fizik Arione on my other bike for another of these, highly recommended! 19 June 2010

Comfy seat The first few rides were a bit hard but now it's softened up and it's great even on bumpy roads. The only downfall is the cover of the seat is was creased as if the leather was coming apart a bit but it doesn't affect the performance of the seat great seat 17 June 2010

Can this seat fit on a Felt F6 bike?

I'm doing an endurance ride in April and looking for a seat to easy some of the pain during the 876 miles.

Any recommendations?

Fizik saddles are popular, but as far as which one it varies from rider to rider.What you find comfortable someone else might not.
If your in a road club ask other members if they have spare seats you can try without having to spend a vast amount on something that doesn't fit.A good pair of Gel padded shorts with a thinner padded pair underneath might help.Good luck.

saddle bag brackets compatible ?

does the rear wing suspension feature cause a problem with fitting brackets for attaching saddle bags e.g. topeak etc. ?

it did for me, i had the clip that came with the topeak from new which was to wide so had to purchase a F25 type, these are about a fiver and you can get them from wiggle, hope this helps.

I have a small topeak pod under my maxflite but there is not much room and probably would struggle with anything longer because the bracket has to be near the seat post because of the plastic suspension bracket

It actually comes in at closer to the 150mm. If you have a narrower butt, go the Flete Gel Flow as opposed to the Max Flite Gel flow

Good question. I didn't realise the rails on my new saddle were other than round, until I received said saddle.
Saddle is now fitted & being used in anger even so; no repercussions as yet using my existing saddle clamp. The seat's not going anywhere......................:) (I hope!)

I have a kestral talon (same kind of seatpost as described) and they DO NOT fit the seat post clamp. Annoying as this was my favorite seat. I have seen the same clamp on some Fuji's. The rails on these seats are a lot fatter than most. On a standard top and bottom clamp no problems - not on mine.

This can depend on what direction the rails are clamped from and the type of clamp used. I would recommend contacting the seatpost manufacturer to see if they suggest a different clamp for the seat post.

Good question, but I don't have a good answer. The saddle is so good, the thought of checking if it had a return policy. A thing to remeber is if the gap between your sit bones is narrow, buy a Flite Gel Flow. If your sit bone gap is wide (as is mine) buy the Max Flite Gel Flow. I highly reccommend it as a fantastic saddle for both on and off road.
