|Padding Material:||Bio foam|
|Rail Material:||Xsilite Stealth|
With suggestions from the Pro Team, San Marco has created this model which stands out not only for its technology but also for the distinguishing cover: the colour is representative of Selle San Marco with red lightning on black cover, pure passion and strength.
The Xsilite Stealth rails are new and are equipped all the racing models have a special finishing guaranteeing the best performance with the increased strengthen. This also results in a better and more aggressive look with an anthracite colouring.
Xsilite Stealth Rails
Lighter and stronger than titanium, Xsilite was born as material of research for the pro riders saddles. It has a high percentage of silicon (here’s the name) together with particles of titanium and carbon. The result is a material with high static toughness, strong like titanium but at the same time lighter.
C.F.R.P. Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic
Shell with variable carbon percentage according to the needs or performance required for the saddle. The lengthened carbon fibre reinforces the shell to obtain a very strong, flexible and light material. This mix of materials enables the shell to keep its shape unchanged through years.
This cover is breathable and hard wearing. This material also offers better adherence to the padding, emphasizing the ergonomic shapes of the saddle. It is less deformable and lighter than traditional materials. The particular surface assures an anti-skid effect with an extraordinary grip on the saddle. Its composition respects the standards of biocompatibility.
Performance saddles are narrower than the models designed for shorter ride comfort. They're intended for riders who have a committed riding style with weight on hands and feet so they're narrower and lighter. High tech padding materials and flexible body designs keep your pressure points comfortable and lightweight chassis components keep the weight down. Most have some kind of ergonomic design to reduce pressure on nerves and allow unrestriced blood flow to your sensitive areas. Womens models have a wider design to suit their naturally wider pelvis. Saddle widths vary across the ranges from narrow (upto 130mm), medium (upto 138mm) to wide (upto 146mm). Narrower saddles are the popular choice for longer distance riders as they do not cause the hips to be placed in an unnatural position. Wider saddles will often feel comfortable initially due to their greater surface area but then progressively decrease in comfort as the miles increase, the correct choice of saddle is a case of getting the balance between initial comfort and overall comfort.
