About Rim Brake Pads

Brake blocks are available in various fitments and compounds to suit your needs, softer pads will wear quickly but are ideal for wet weather use, whereas hard compound pads will last but not offer great wet weather performance. These pads fit into a Shimano pad holder, that bolts to your brake callipers - you will most likely have this already if you have 105/Ultegra/Dura Ace brakes.
The pads are held in place by a grub screw (small bolt) in the pad holder. The pads come with replacement grub screws to hold them in place.

The pads look the same and work slightly better than the pads I had before, although that may just be the contrast between old and new!

The brakes are described as being "Ultralight dual pivot brakes, Teflon pivots, forged alloy w/ cartridge pads". Will these inserts fit?
