Most cleats actually come with the pedals not the shoes.
I use these shoes with my Look cleats and Look KEO Easy pedals.

Yes, the holes are there for ventilation. You will appreciate this when the weather hots up.
I use mine with overshoes in winter- water does not come in through the holes in the sole.

I currently use Shimano SPD on both my MTB and road bikes but will be first on the band wagon with Vector when Garmin release it in March. So, I really want to buy shoes that will work with LOOK Keo compatible pedals.
The description says not but is it possible to get adapters or find some other way?

I opted for floating cleats. This permits the cleat a little room to move size to side.
However, the included diagram seems to show a plate of some sort that goes under the cleat, but as far as I can see SPD cleats do not come with such a plate nor is there one in the shoe box.
Can anyone confirm what if anything is needed or can I just the SH51/55 cleats and screw them straight onto sole of shoe ?
