Shimano Custom Fit Shoes
Every foot is different, and standardised shoe sizes can often leave gaps and uneven contact points between your foot and the shoe. These gaps lead to movement, inefficiency and abrasion over time. The Shimano Custom Fit system eliminates spaces and irregular contact, giving you a compliant, glove-like fit with improved support, power transfer, endurance and a reduced chance of injury – essential for the high mileage competitive cyclist. The custom fit process takes 3 steps:
- Heat: Heat sensitive material is infused in the shoe upper, the shoe is heated in a special oven.
- Vacuum Form: While Heated the shoe worn, wrapped and sealed in a vacuum device that withdraws the air. The shoe instantly conforms to the foot.
- Cool: The upper is left to cool and perfectly retains the shape of your foot for a glove like fit.
Upper
Rovenica ultra-fine fiber synthetic leather gives a supple, comfortable fit and excellent elasticity with high memory. Multi-layered moisture control mesh offers superior durability and high-abrasion resistance. A low-profile micro-adjust buckle and dual off-set straps keep your feet secure and eliminate pressure points.
Sole
The R315 sole is constructed from a hollow channel carbon fibre weave for exceptional stiffness and power transfer at feather-weight lightness. Cleat guides are included for millimetre perfect positioning.
