Product Q & A
Ask your questions and share your answers.
This info is important safety & durability issue for heavier riders, who are also very ppl more likely to need wheel upgrades as OEM wheels provided on new bikes, often don't last well under stress of big powerful riders. I've had wheelset on LBS bike bought October 30th, in twice already for repairs and lost confidence to descend at speed on them.
So what is the source for this info, and as riders weighing 100Kg+ is not uncommon these days, why aren't any weight limits included clearly in the wheel specs?
Having bought a pair, and weighing 96Kg, I haven't noticed any flex or lack of solidity, so I hope the higher limit is the correct one.
If not, can I swap out my existing rim tape, or do I need to get new rim tape?
(I have a carbon Specialized frame)
