Lorica
Lorica is a man-made material that is lighter than leather. It is both breathable and water-repellent, however, it does not retain foot odours. As well as being tough and resistant to scratches, Lorica conforms to the shape of the foot like leather without the shoe having to be 'broken in'. Comfort is assured.

Soft Instep Closure System
The wide, anatomical and padded strap has been reduced and coupled to a soft, thermoformed material, increasing comfort and performance. It distributes pressure evenly over the arch area, is adjustable from both sides and can be centered perfectly. The system is serviceable and replaceable, it also eliminates the need for using the SiDi High Instep Extender.


Caliper Buckle
The centre part of the buckle is for micro-metric adjustment - lift to tighten, push to loosen. In order to completely open the buckle both sides have to be pushed in.

Tecno II System
The Tecno II buckle uses a mono-filament nylon line and a fine-tooth ratchet for smooth adjustment and even pressure distribution. The system allows frontal micro-metric closure and adapts the upper to a customised fit. The buckle is serviceable and available as a replacement part.

High Security Velcro
Locking polymer teeth are embedded in the Velcro strap to make the closure more secure.

Adjustable Heel Retention Device
New technology for the heel-cup system. The retention device reinforces the top of the heel-cup and improves fit by closing the back of the shoe more securely around the ankle. A couple of screws control how tight the top of the heel is, these can be adjusted so that the heel stays tight on any steep climb and every sprint.

SiDi Heel
The reinforced SiDi Heel keeps the foot in position and avoids the shoe being deformed by extreme performance or prolonged pressure.

MTB SRS Carbon Sole
The revolutionary MTB SRS Carbon Sole is the ultimate sole for the high-performance, high-mileage off-road cyclist. The heart of this sole is a pure carbon insert reaching from heel to toe. This carbon insert and the replaceable tread are bolted to a nylon frame. This nylon frame is both tough and thin, designed to keep the ball of the foot close to the pedal axle.

From this design a small amount of flex is given to the toe area, however the main body of the shoe is ultra-stiff, able to transfer the power. Excellent comfort is assured as the design gives consideration to the blood circulation in the foot.

Optional extras are available for this sole: a toe-guard to provide added protection to the front of the foot and toe-spikes for extra traction off-bike.

The SRS Carbon sole is fully serviceable. The bolt-on Dragon SRS tread, the polyurethane anti-slip pads (for the metatarsus area) and the carbon-fibre inserts are available as spare parts.

Cleat Compatibility
The SRS Carbon Sole is designed for two-hole MTB cleats. For users of Crank Bros 'egg-beater' style cleats a shim is available as an optional extra.
