The Sidi Ergo 2 Carbon features a Lorica and nylon mesh upper, Soft Step closure system, reinforced TPU heel cup and a full carbon sole.
- Heel Cup System (HCS): For cyclists with a thin ankle Sidi has thought of, created and patented a mechanism that tightens the heel so that it doesn't come off during the harder parts of a race or a sprint. Made in thermoplastic it can be easily replaced or removed, just remove the adhesive label and unscrew the screw
- Super Light SL Buckle: Allows locking in two different ways: by taking up a number of clicks with one sweep of the lever, or engaging half click at a time for a truly micrometric adjustment. The two grey flaps may be pressed together for complete unlocking or alternately to slightly loosen the shoe during performance
- Soft Instep closure system: The rigid polyurethane part has been reduced and coupled to soft, thermo-formed Eva and it is anatomical. The system eliminates the need for the High Instep Extender. Increased comfort and performance
- Tecno-II system: Allows frontal micrometric closure and adapts the upper of the shoe to the shape of the foot for a customised fit. Improved compared with to the previous model that had the thread holder fixed to the upper of the shoe with a screw. The Tecno II system is now smaller and can be replaced more easily. It is easy to tighten or loosen while riding
- Fastener Security System: High security straps with integrated locking polymer teeth , that engage onto each other when the strap is closed. This feature makes the closure more secure and the strap becomes unmoveable

The Sidi Full Carbon sole is constructed with a unique carbon lay-up that is thinner in the toe to provide a slight amount of flex while retaining excellent stiffness and power transfer in the body of the shoe. The sole is engineered for the high-performance, high-mileage cyclist who requires a sole that is rigid but does not compromise the foot's blood circulation, guaranteeing excellent comfort and great performance. The new, thinner sole design also brings, the foot closer to the pedal axis, includes an anti-slip insert at the toe and has a replaceable rubber heel pad. The Full Carbon sole is also compatible with the Look Keo memory cleat.
