For 2011, the Sidi Genius 6.6 Vernice features the new Carbon Lite Sole and is made from Vernice Microfibre for pure comfort.
Women's Specific Last: The Sidi Women's Specific Last is specially shaped for a lower volume foot with a proportionally narrow heel. Rather than scaling down a men's shoe, The women's specific last is designed and developed exclusively for women.
Vernice Microfibre: A synthetic material that is resistant to dirt thanks to an ultra-smooth outer surface. Clean with mild soap and towel dry, do not expose to heat. Use of alchol or abrasive cleaners is not recommended as this would damage the surface coating.
Soft Instep Closure System: The wide, padded strap is coupled to a soft, thermoformed material to increase comfort and performance. It distributes pressure evenly over the arch area and is adjustable from both sides for perfect centering. The system elimates the need for the High Instep Extender and uses the SL and Caliper buckle straps, which are serviceable and replaceable.
High Security Velcro: The high security straps with integrated locking polymer teeth engage onto each other when the strap is closed. This feature makes the closure more secure and the strap becomes unmoveable.
Heel Cup System (HCS): Sidi Created the heel cup system for cyclists with narrower ankles. The mechanism tightens the top of the heel cup so that it doesn't slip during steep climbs or sprints. Made from thermoplastic, it can be easily replaced or removed.
Sidi Heel: The reinforced heel keeps the foot in position and avoids the shoe being deformed by extreme performance or prolonged pressure.
The shoes arrived with the box damaged in transit. They are new and unused and have some slight blemishes. Complete and placed in a plastic bag for protection.

The Carbon Lite Sole introduces, for the first time in a cycling shoe, a material created and developed for aerospace and aviation fields. Carbon fibre is light, durable and guarantees a longer life to the sole. Different materials are formed in layers to make the Carbon Lite Sole, it has been developed using a mix of innovative composite materials which maximize stress resistance and reduce weight. Carbon Lite soles have a simple design with thin lines to match the aerodynamic look of the shoe. |

The Carbon Lite Sole is constructed to provide a small amount of flex in the toe while retaining excellent stiffness throughout the body of the shoe. The sole is engineered for the high-performance, high-mileage cyclist who requires a sole that is rigid but does not compromise blood circulation, guaranteeing comfort, foot health and great power transfer. For walkability, the Carbon Lite Sole includes an anti-slip insert at the toe and a replaceable heel pad. It is compatible with the best pedals on the market. For cleat replacement, the Sidi Carbon Lite sole features a 10mm horizontal and vertical cleat alignment scale moulded into the sole as well as a Look Memory Eyelet. |
