Swigg from Sigg Slightly more expensive than the plastic alternatives, but much more attractive and will last for years. The alu construction is prone to the odd ding, particularly if you are using the bottle for hiking or climbing, but this only adds character. I've used Sigg bottles for many long hikes and find it very reliable, durable and handy. For cycling the Sigg bottle is less appropriate due to it being slightly heavier than plastic bottles and having a screw cap, which is too fiddly to open and close when moving on a bike. I normally slip the Sigg in the outside pocket if my rucksack or clip it to the outside using a Karabiner attached to the loop in the Sigg lid. The only negative point worth mentioning is the screw lid can sometimes mis thread resulting in the contents leaking out. This has happened to me a couple of times when I've been in a hurry or not paying attention when closing the lid. In short, a high quality bottle, attractive and durable if slightly more expensive than the competition. 09 November 2009
Sigg bottles I was introduced to the Sigg bottle by a chap in my ski school class earlier this year, and decided that I had to have one.Great choice of colours and designs, but I opted for this one with the textured finish. Been out fell walking with it and I don't know how I've survived so long without one.It will be going everywhere with me from now on.This was the best price around also.(I actually bought 2,in black & blue). 21 April 2012
Swig from Sigg Not all aluminium drinks bottles are the same. Many of the generic bottles that are available on the high street look very similar but differ in some crucial ways. The most significant difference is the internal diameter of the neck. Sigg bottles are slightly larger & as a consequence the fantastic "active bottle top" that they make wont fit some generic bottles. The method of manufacture also leads to a better overall finish with many different colours & designs to choose from. 22 July 2011
