I got these for the mountain bikes, as I was sick of my son's endless punctures. A bit more expensive than a normal tube, and quite a lot heavier and more bulky - not really one to carry in the pocket. But - if they work, we won't need to carry one, and the cost well worth it. No flats so far!

AS A REGULAR COMMUTER PUNCTURES ARE TO BE AVOIDED THE USE OF SLIME TUBES WAS ADVISED WHAT CAN YOU SAY THE BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD VERY DURABLE AND HARD WEARING, WOULD RECCOMEND TO ANY BODY THE SLIGHT WEIGHTGAIN IS NOT ANY PROBLEM,JUST AGREAT PRODUCT.THAT KEEPS THE CYCLIST WHERE HE OR SHE SHOULD BE ON THE OPEN ROAD OR TRACK.

So far so good
Had 3 punctures in 3 days so went for these.
Riding the same routes for about 2 weeks now and the tyres remain puncture free..hopefully will still be the case in 2 years...

Indispensable!!!
Brilliant puncture solution. Works like a charm. I pick up thorns at a frightening rate and haven't needed to stop for one since fitting these. Pull the thorn out and give the wheel a good spin as advised but mostly the hole's have already sealed. Adds a wee bit of weight but would only be a concern for the seriously weight conscious XC riders and I'll be laughing at them on my way past when they're carrying their ounce lighter bikes all the way home. Seriously, I'd leave them with a quick repair patch cause I'm a nice guy but don't think I could avoid feeling a bit smug :P

I am currently running 26 x 1.25 slicks on a commuting mtb and need something like these Slime inner tubes. If required I could possibly push to a 26 x 1.5 slick tyre though definitely not any bigger. Do Slime make these tubes in (preferably) 26 x 1.25 or if not, 26 x 1.5? The size listed (26 x 1.75-2.1) is obviously too big to use with the 1.25 tyre, and I wouldn't like to try with the 1.5 tyre either for fear of it catching between tyre and rim.

Don't know what tube sizes they make, but you can get Slime by itself to pump into your standard inner tube. Should then fit anything.Answer:

these are better suited for general off road, i found it easier to buy kevlar tyres for my road wheels, one year on and no punctures. As for off road these inner tubes work a treat although they are a bit heavier
