Bright, robust and lightweight A great set, both front and back lights are very bright. Lights are robust but lightweight and easy to fit 17 November 2012

Great light but poor fitting The ligt itself was powerful and was great on dark roads but it was loose fitting in the bracket and fell off whilst riding, only to get run over by a car. 06 November 2012

Great set of bike lights These are a great set of lights. Perfect for the work commute. Easy to install the brackets. Easy to attach / detach the lights from the brackets. The lights are both really bright - more than adequate for town / city use. You wouldn't use them to pick your way through a pitchblack country lane, but that's not really their purpose. 19 August 2012

Are these lights weatherproof/resistant?

I recently (four months ago) bought a set from my local bike store and they are both failing already - I believe due to the rain. Would these be more reliable?

Answer:

In my experience, this light has been reliable in rain. The only thing I would say is that you need additional lighting because this light puts out a fairly narrow angle beam.

Of course in bad weather it is much more important to improve your lighting, and I would definitely not use this light on it's own in rain.

Answer:

The rear light I use looks very much like the one pictured here. It has worked well in all sorts of weather for some years now. It has a rubbery seal between the red and black bits. the button is beneath the plastic at the bottom and activated by squeezing the plastic.

The front light looks like one I used to have. I had no problems with it - just use much bigger ones now.
