The wind tunnel developed, frame mounted system, smoothes airflow around the frame while the rider is in motion. The rider is able to maintain an aerodynamic position all the while drinking up to 40 ounces (1.3 liters) of fluid. Hydration is immediate as a bite valve and tubing keep fluid at the ready for whenever it is needed. Other unique features of the Speedfil include user ability to refill the system on-the-fly, which minimizes the need for additional bottles, as well as a unique dual splash resistant opening that allows for rapid refills with minimal fluid splashing.

About Water Bottles

Water bottles and cages are essential items for your bike, fluid replenishment is essential for long term activities and fitting a water bottle and cage to your bike is the perfect way of keeping you hydrated. Studies show that loss of fluid equal to 2% of your body mass is sufficient to cause a significant decrease in performance. Bottle cages have also received the lightweight treatment with materials such as carbon, titanium and alloy often used. Bottle cages will accept water bottles from 500ml up to 1,000ml, making it possible to carry 2,000ml of fluid on your bike. It's also worth using an Energy drink whilst riding as these will help replace minerals lost through sweating.

Looks better than it works Looked the ideal solution to carrying a bottle but the tube waves about in the breeze unless you clip it so far down it is hard to reach. Bottle and tube very difficult to clean, tube has a one-way valve so you cannot just run water through it to clean it out, bottle is a chore to get off the bike to clean - who wants to use the remnants of the last ride!! Overpriced for a plastic bottle and tube - don't bother 11 April 2013

The best solution Fitted to a small Trek Speed Concept. A bit tight to get it in the small frame but very stable and rattle free once fitted. I had a Speedfil A2 before this and it found it hard to refill on top of the aerobars on the move. This is much easier to refill (although the top tube on my small frame does get in the way, there's enough clearance to refill on the move). You do have to coast along as you refill but you can squirt from a bottle at full strength and it all goes in quickly. It's easy enough to draw fluid out despite the long tube. First ride with it was 112 miles on Ironman Wales and it did exactly what was asked of it. Definitely a "race day" product as it's a bit of a faff to remove and clean and very expensive for what it is but it does the job very well. I would prefer that the bracket could be fitted a bit lower as there is enough space on the frame to drop it down another inch or so which would make it easier to fit/remove. 12 November 2012

Yes, you can use it with drop handlebars. I would suggest buying velcro's to try different setups of the pipe. But after experimenting you should find best fit.

Yes, but this product is specifically designed to allow you to stay in the aero position on a TT bike. As there's far more opportunity to use a standard water bottle on a road bike, I wouldn't recommend this product, as it's expensive, and wouldn't give you any benefit.

speedfil have two versions of this kit and one is for the seat tube. Wiggle only offer the kit for the down tube.

I think they must mean you could fit it to the seat tube and then run the drinks tube along the crossbar and to the handle bars. I have fitted mine to the down tube. There are other attachments that are detailed in the blurb that comes with it for other ways to attach it and other bits and bobs to buy.
