SRAM Corporation was founded in Chicago, IL (USA) in 1987 by six employees with one component, Gripshift Twist Shifters. Today, SRAM’s commitment and growth can be measured by its 1,500 employees, its 150+ cycling products, and it’s 12 facilities worldwide. In 2002 SRAM purchased RockShox, the world’s mountain bike suspension specialist. 2004 brought the purchase of both Avid brakes and Truvativ cranks and components.
