The Suplest XC Carbon MTB Shoe is a top drawer performance piece that delivers all the carefully considered features an experienced athlete needs. Great comfort features and excellent performance make this an ideal choice for high level usage.
SUPLEST ERGO 360° MOUNTAIN BIKE SOLE
Suplest's mountain bike sole was tested in the hills of the Emmental. Suplest had the ambition to create a first-class performance sole with an ultra stiff core for optimum power transfer to the pedals. So by combining different materials they were able to achieve the best mix of stiffness and comfort: The base layer is a pure carbon core, protected by a thin TPU layer. The aggressive and hard TPU tread offers unsurpassed grip when walking. They chose an abrasion-resistant tread that is durable and long-lasting. Finally, the two studs in front allow for ideal traction if the going gets muddy and soft.
Organic Grid upper
The upper is a light, supple and comfortable material, allowing supplest to cleverly select areas that need a higher reinforcement to keep the foot stable, while other areas are thinner to increase overall comfort.
The seamless upper is a light and tough microfiber, which is supportive in the heel and supple in the forefoot in order to increase the wearing comfort.
Additional heel-grip due to a special anti-slip lining in the heel area. This means the foot can be held firm with less pressure on the closure straps, aiding feel and comfort.
Supplest use an Air Vent tongue specially designed to ensure additional breathability of the foot. This helps prevent build up any feelings of discomfort as you're pushing hard.
Ergo 360° insoles are light and allow the foot to stay in an ergonomic position to increase power transfer. The pre-moulded EVA offers additional comfort.
MTB Cycling shoes have stiffer soles than an everyday shoe, like a trainer for instance, this means that they transfer more power to the pedals each time you push down. By improving this connection between your foot and the pedal, you can ride longer due to more efficiency and with more comfort. Higher level shoes will have 3 straps on the upper which make them very adjustable and can improve comfort further. Mountain bike shoes have a knobbly grippy sole so you can dismount and run with the bike off road when needed, or walk for small periods if popping to the shops. They are a true all round shoe that can be used for off road, road, touring and commuting.
Suplest is a small premium cycling shoe company from Switzerland. The company was founded in the year 2007 by Robert Gehrig and Daniel Balmer who are both passionate cyclists. They wanted to develop and produce high-end shoes which are individual in terms of design, comfort and superior quality
