Tacx Trainer Axel Nuts
These nuts allow non quick release wheels to be used satisfactorily with the Tacx trainers. Conversion takes minutes. Pricey for what they are, but effective.

Expensive for what they are
They do what they're supposed to do but are expensive for all that.

Do the job, but...
They do a good job, fit well, and are heavy duty quality, but, a lot of money for what boils down to a couple of nuts.

10- mm nuts
very well finished look good on end of axle(when not on trainer0

Expensive but only option for fixed bike on turbo
Too expensive for a pair of wheelnuts. Also means that you need a different spanner size for front & rear axles (which I hadn't considered) so a bit of a pain as far as roadside toolkit goes. They look quite bulky too so would look out of place on that super-minimalist hipster.
It is as far as I can tell though, the only option available to fit a fixed-gear bike to a turbo - recommended only if you really need to do this, otherwise save your money.

They do the job
As a replacement for your standard nuts (which won't fit in the trainer sockets) these are easy to fit and designed to work with the tacx trainers. What more can you say?

Fiendishly expensive for what they are
Fiendishly expensive but does the job well and i would recommend them. However, these do not have washers like you have on standard track nuts so you will need a couple of 10mm plain washers to make tightening up easy.

Well, they do the job but they're not great
They do the job for which they're intended.
However, they would be a far better product if they had a revolving washer as do true track nuts. That would make fitting and then aligning the back wheel straightforward.
As they are, they have to be fitted with a washer which doesn't come supplied, or you'll have to fit them one at a time, replacing one track nut at a time and keeping the axle positioned with a very tight track nut as you put the opposite side tacx nut on, and then when the first tacx nut is really tight with the axle still in position, take off the opposite track nut and out the other tacx nut on.
Even then you'll have to tighten the second nut and keep the wheel straight.
If you don't do it this way, the back wheel either won't align straight or you'll end up unwinding the axle from the bearings and have one side longer than the other with grease leaking out.
Serrated faces on the nuts might help as an alternative to revolving washers, but washers work better and don't chew up the dropouts as much.
And 18 quid is scandalous.

Why cant this be included?
Great for what it does.
Disappointing that this had to bought external of the track trainer.

Expensive, but good quality.
I needed these as my Specialized Langster does not have a qr hub - my tacx trainer came with a qr skewer that I can't use.
They are well made, but it still sounds a lot for what is essentially a custom machined nut.
They do these in 3/8" or 10mm - I bought cheap bike nuts of both sizes to make sure I bought the correct size!

fit for the job though expensive
I wanted to use my mountain bike with Shimano 7 speed hub gears (non qr) on turbo trainer. The Tacx Axle nuts solved this problem.
Just a shame they are so expensive; not even reduced in the sales.

A bit expensive
Was lent a turbo for the winter so can ride while new baby came along. Soon discovered that my single speed would not fit in the turbo so hence the purchase. Does the job but a bit expensive for a simple nut.

Tacx Axle Nuts
Do the job but nicely very overpriced (as mentioned but most other reviewers).
11 September 2011
Allowed me to use my old road bike on my Tacx Fortius. No problems

Wheels nuts to allow you to use a solid axle wheel in your Tacx trainer. They function perfectly but are very expensive for a pair of wheel nuts.

Tacx axle nuts for turbo trainer
I bought these nuts to adapt my bike for the CycleOps Turbo Trainer, as I had hub gears and no quick release. The nuts allowed me to use the bike with the Turbo Trainer, but I felt they were overpriced, given that they are simply a pair of nuts. I would buy them again, as I needed them for teh trainer, but felt the price was too high.

Works a treat
These nuts were purchased so i could throw my track bike on the tacx. These bolts do the trick, it is unfortunate these cost so much (and there is nothing wiggle can do about it!) . A trip to the hardware store may produce a cheaper alternative albeit not a perfect one.

Fixed Wheel Trainer Nuts
Simple to fit and do the job, without too much hassle

A must for your track bike
These nuts are longer than your normal track nuts and allow you to fit a 120mm frame to a tacx sirius turbo trainer without removing the driveside plastic locknut from the turbo.
My langster has a tuggnut on oneside with a tacx nut and a 1mm washer and tacx nut on the other side and there is still approx 15mm of thread left on the turbo locking bolt.
They should be a little cheaper to buy though!!

Cost too much for what it basically is a Nut.
But does do the job for what it is intended for.
