You need this!
I have a Tacx Sirius Blue Soft Gel Folding Magnetic Trainer, and use this exclusively for my winter training and interval work, especially the Tabata Protocol.
The training wheels that I have come with a conventional skewer, so the need for the Tacx skewer was pretty much taken out of my hands.
The skewer itself is made to last, and does the job it was designed to do flawlessly.
It locks down my wheel without any problems, and I have, from time to time ventured out onto the streets with it in place. I have complete faith in them, even on 55 mph descents!
They are not aerodynamic, and obviously not light, but they are strong!
Not a lot else to say really, and if need be, I'd buy another one, if I needed to.
If you have a Tacx trainer, then these skewers fit without any problems. I cant speak for Minoura, CycleOps or Elite trainers, so your on your own on that one!

Does what it says on the tin!
Nothing to complain about, it's a perfect replacement fit or an addition to the kit so you don't have to constantly pass the skewer from one bike to another, if you have multiple bikes or multiple people use the turbo.
Worth noting that this spare skewer came with the threaded bit of the axle much longer than the original one. Nothing to worry about, but sometimes annoying to have the extra 1/2 inch to wiggle around the turbo bracket.

Does what it says on the tin
This product does what it says on the tin, and holds the bike securely in the Turbo. However out of the box it was around 1-2cm too long, so I had to cut it to length with a hacksaw to make it fit.

I purchased one for the elite crono elastogel. the tacx has a square end wich doesnt fit the elite clamp. so, no it isnt in this instance although it may fit others

No problem at all with using it on the road as I often do. Just make sure that the skewer is tightened up and pushed so that it falls between the two tubes of the rear triangle as I find it is much less prone to vibrate loose (I do this with all my skewers)2 years, 7 months ago

Can certainly be used with the Elite Crono Fluid ElastoGel Trainer.I mangled one of the springs on my default skewer, replaced with this one and this is far more secure and much easier to get to the right tension in my opinion.

I alrady have a tacx skewer and it fits fine on my road bike, however, it is just too short to use on my tri bike. Does anyone know if they come in different lengths, or what is the length of the one that you have bought? many thanks
