The BC-1000 Body Composition Platform offers consumers the ability to wirelessly link data to Garmin Fitness devices, remote displays, personal computers and hand held devices.

The BC-1000 measures a total of nine separate readings including Body Fat Percentage, Total Body Water(hydration) Muscle Mass, overall Physique Rating, and Daily Calorie requirement.

Tanita are Partnered with Garmin and utilise ANT+ wirelessly technology which allows connectivity with Garmin fitness watches (FR60, FR60LTD, FR70,Forerunner 310XT, 610, 910XT and Edge 510/810/800), also data can be stored, reviewed and analysed on Garmin Connect for unrivalled monitoring or an athlete’s body composition.

Non Garmin users can Transmit data wireless to the Tanita D-1000 remote display for unrivalled levels of privacy and easy body composition result viewing.
Instructions are supplied on a CD only, and not in paper format. In addition to weight, body fat percentage, and hydration levels, the BC-1000 Body Composition Monitor provides measurements on muscle mass, overall physique rating, daily caloric intake, metabolic age rating, bone mass, and visceral fat.

When using the compatible Garmin Fitness Watches and their wireless technology, the readings of weight, body fat and body water are wirelessly displayed on the watch, while all nine readings are stored in the watch. When in range of a consumer's computer, the information is automatically transmitted to the computer using the wireless ANT + USB Stick and captured on the Garmin Connect Software.

The wireless interface protocol enables ultra low power applications ideal for fitness and health monitors and offers all the benefits of digital wireless communications with much lower power consumption than other wireless protocols.
The BC-1000 scale platform features no visible display, as readings are automatically transmitted to remote displays such as compatible Garmin fitness watches, Tanita's remote display for easy viewing in various locations.
