Hi, could I get clarification if these pedals have a spring tension adjustment (not float adjustment)? Thanks.

Answer:
you have a spring tension adjustment yes, but you can adjust the float from a fixed 7 degrees to a fixed 17 degrees by swapping the cleats left to right.

I am looking for an all round pedal for commuting and touring. If I like them I'll put on my mountain bike too.
They must be double sided, have float, durable, clipless and I need to be able to walk in them. I will be using primarily on a road bike for commuting - would these pedals Time ATAC XS be best or Time Roc ATAC S?

Answer:
Yes the atac xs has all those characteristics you're after. Walking in them really depends on the shoes you've got as to whether the tread depth will keep the cleat clear of the ground. I fully rate these pedals and have them on all three of my MTBs.

Answer:
Yes these pedals would both be fine for road use, if you use 2 bolt compatible MTB shoes the grips should protect the majority of the cleat so walking will be easier. Both pedals have float , are double sided and are durable but the Roc S is lighter and has better materials and bearings.

I've used Time ATACs (Aliums, Roc ATACs) for many years on all my bikes and need to know if my existing cleats will fit the XS type.

Answer:
Yes they should be fine.

The photo appears to be out of date, or are these infact the older version and not what is shown on the Time website?
