About Bar Ends
Bar ends are used by cross country mountain bikers, touring cyclists and long distance riders who require an alternate riding position, rather than just the grips. Bar ends offer a different position to the standard flat bar grips by allowing you to rotate your wrists by 90 degrees and allowing you to be able to pull harder on the climbs when out of the saddle, or just to relieve the boredom of the single position when on longer distance rides.

Nice little bar ends,
I used bigger bar ends but thought I'd try these. They are cheap easy to fit and very comfortable whether in the climb or pushing the big ring on the flat.

Less is More
Tired of embarrassing 90s bar ends that look like Boss Hogg's bullhorns and get caught on every shrub and tree you pass? Your prayers are answered.
These discreet and attractive bar ends offer an extra hand position with just enough space and grip for those steep climbs and long XC rides when your wrists start to ache. They're not long enough to get a whole hand on (unless you're a hobbit) but you don't need to, just grab the end of the handlebar and get your thumb and a couple of fingers round the bar end.
The black finish looks great and the end caps are rubbery, not hard plastic, which helps your bike stay upright when you rest them against something (and avoids leaving marks on walls). An excellent product for the price.

Good basic bar end
Very good value, I am happy and would recommend these to a friend no problem. I now do almost all my pedalling on these bar ends! :-)
I would like to mention however, I've marked down a star for "performance", because they can feel a bit slippery in sweaty or rainy conditions - gloves would solve this I'm sure. Otherwise, a little care is needed. (I don't wear gloves when I ride...)
I find them very comfortable, and they were easy to fit...

Brilliant!
After purchasing a set of the tioga mini bar ends for my fiance i wanted a set for my bike! After much researching i found these and was plesently happy when they arrived. Its hard to tell the dimensions from the pictures here, but these are a small diameter then the other mini tioga bar ends, but slightly longer. As I wasn't wanting anything to long so they wouldn't get in the way and these are perfect, long enough to grab for up hill sections and the diameter of them makes them very comfy (i have small hands, so are perfect for me.). The only downside it probably the same for all these painted metal ends, which is the resting against walls will slowly chip the paint away, but thats not the end of the world!

Didn't weigh mine, sorry. Length wise, they are approx 105mm from bar tip to the back of the clamp end - ie. total overall length.Once fitted, there is about 72mm of bar end for effective gripping.

Not familiar wiht the Giant Rincon but these fit my Specialized Rockhopper.I couldn't fit them over the rubber grips, I had to take off the grips and cut off the end and then attach the bar ends.

You'd be better off cutting off the relevant length of bar grip so that the grip on the bar studs could engage with the metal on the handle bars, makes for a much cleanerr look as well.Answer:
they fit any mtb handlbar, well at least the older ones, and your '08 model should be OK. No, move the rubber grips in a bit, and fit bar ends over the bare aluminium bit

They fit on any standard diameter handlebar, but you'll need to either trim the grips or shove them about half an inch (a centimeter or so) along the bar before clamping the bar end onto the end of the handlebars by tightening the bolt with an allen key (don't overtighten!).Answer:
Not sure about your Giant Rincon...But no, I didn't tighten these over the rubber grips - I moved the grip inwards, and clamped the bar-ends onto the handlebar end directly over the bare metal bar. Inside diameter of the circular clamp is approx 23mm on mine, when fitted. They would also fit slightly larger I think, up to about 26mm OD handlebar...

I would imagine these would fit almost all handle bars, I fitted mine to a Giant Anthem X4. You don't fit these over the grips, you would need to move the grips inwards (by first moving brake and gear mech...loosen using an allen key).
