About Saddle Bags
If your are fed up with your stuffed jersey pocket bouncing up and down, or are worried about keys digging into your back, then a saddle bag is the ideal solution for you. Saddle bags fit snugly up under your saddle and are perfect for carrying spare inner tubes, multi tools, energy food, keys or even your mobile phone. They provide quick and easy access, can be removed in seconds and go unnoticed when riding. Saddle bags often have the added benefit of reflective detailing or an LED light loop so add a level of safety as well.

spare inner tube
card, bit of cash and front door key!
Yes I can get 1 spare tyres, 2 canisters, 2 levers;
a multi-tool (as long as its reasonably small);
Iphone (if it is in a silicone/similar casing);
A card and notes as cash - yes there is a mesh elastic pocket big enough to have a bank card, keys (no more than 2).
You'll have to take time to manoeuvre all these items around and know that it will be terribly squashed but if you have the ability to carry one of the following on your person such as: multi-tool or Iphone or spare tyre and place the other two in your bag then this will be just right.
I carry my Iphone on me and have the other two items in my bag, as a guide.
Hope this helps.
wallet, inner, iphone, keys, co2 can, inflator, lights instead of multi tool.
so I'd suggest the size up.
Stick your iPhone in your jersey and you are sorted.
I have a spare inner tube and repair kit, should I be using a small mini pump or the CO2 canisters?
Any advice welcome.
From experience if I get a puncture I use the canisters as a means to get home (as it only lasts a couple of hours before a refil is required), but if I was to continue to ride then I would use a pump to re-inflate.
Once home you must deflate all the CO2 from that tyre and to then re-inflate it with a simple pump (stand/hand) as the CO2 will dissipate through the rubber in your tube, thus having to re-inflate your tube anyway for the next ride.
So it’s up to you if you want to carry a pump or canisters - remembering that canisters come in different sizes, so just check which ones you require and a control valve for the canister is recommended (this I learnt from my own experience without a control valve).
Hope this helps.
co2 can is rapid. save you pumping your arms every time you have a flat.
