TORQ bar has been painstakingly formulated to produce a food that is ultra high in carbohydrate, very low in fat and with ingredients wide-ranging in glycaemic index for immediate and sustained glucose release.
All too often energy bars are dry and difficult to eat - and those that aren't contain far too much fat. Tangy Apricot TORQ bar 1 and Sundried Banana TORQ bar 2 are delicious, moist and chewy, containing just over 2 grams of fat per 100 (a little over a gram per bar) and packed with usable carbohydrate.

Torq are a UK-based company and manufacture all four flavours on these shores. The texture is definitely classic energy bar - a sticky, dense and very fruity flapjack - but the ingredients are 100 per cent natural,
fairly traded and suitable for vegans. Saturated fat levels are very low at around 0.5 per cent and the bar also contains Torq's hidden weapon, ribose, which actively assists muscle recovery at a cellular level.

Fortunately Torq has done its homework and the bars live up to thier 'moist and chewy' tagline and the flavours are great. And unlike many bars, the packets are easy to open, even with a gloved hand and teeth while riding...the raspberrry and apple is fruity and almost refreshing to eat...the pinapple and ginger flavour is amazing, it tastes just like ginger cake.
Having used these bars as hilltop snacks, as office munchies and while racing the three peaks, I'm very impressed with them.
Gone are the days when energy bars could barely be stomached...these Torq bars are very high in carbohydrate, very low in fat and stuffed full of clever ingredients.

These are some of our favourite sports bars; they're packed with energy, they taste good, and they're easy to eat while riding. They come in four different flavours. All the bars are oats-based and contain around 45g of carbs, both simple and complex so you get an immediate and sustained release of energy. They're also low in fat - just 2%. Whereas some sports bars are really difficult to get down while you're working hard in the saddle, Torq bars are soft and moist, so they're really easy to chew and swallow. They're also good for replacing energy after a ride.
