Cycling Shoes Explained

   Cycling shoes are purpose designed footwear. Different styles and types are available for the various disciplines of cycling. There are two main types of cycling shoes: road or mountain bike. Road cycling shoes are designed to be only used for cycling due to the construction of the sole. Mountain bike cycling shoes are more acceptable for walking in (for short distances) as the sole is rugged and designed with this in mind.

2. Why are they good?

   Cycling shoes allow you to transfer power more efficiently especially when combined with clipless pedals or the less common toe-clip pedals. A mountain bike shoe is more suited and would certainly last longer than a lightweight road specific shoe in this situation.
