Body Armour Explained

1. Why is Body Armour important?

   There is an element of risk when riding your bike off road especially on steep technical tracks. Having protective clothing can minimise the possibility of serious injury by absorbing trail impacts. Body armour provides you with added protection on the trail and the reassurance this provides can improve the quality of your bike ride.

2. Why is it good?

   High quality body armour is lightweight and has an unrestrictive fit that provides protection and comfort to the rider. You can ride with more confidence on the trail knowing that if a crash occurs you are wearing the appropriate protective armour. This decreases the likelihood of serious injury and having a lay-off from your bike.

3. How should I choose?

   Wiggle stocks a large range of body armour which can cover the knees and shin, elbows, shoulders and chest. Hard shell armour is best suited for gravity style riding on technical terrain. Soft shell has been designed to be worn more regularly for trail riding purposes.
