TRP engineers drew upon their experiance working with exotic materials and came up with a brake set that combines our 154 gram forged TT6 linear pull brake with an innavative new brake lever available with either a new carbon fibre or magnesium trigger blade. The lever and v-brake combine for a package that is so light it won't slow you down out of the gate, but responsive enough to get you out of tight situations. The Donny Robinson signature, the ultimate BMX brake set.
On the Carbon version the brakes and lever body are Magnesium and the leverblade is Carbon.
On the Magnesium version the leverblade is also Magnesium.
About Brake Levers
Bicycle brake levers come in two formats, road or hybrid / mountain bike. Road levers are designed to fit dropped handlebars whereas mtb / hybrid levers are designed to fit flat handlebars. Some brake levers will incorporate the gear levers as well, these are known as Double Tap, Ergo's or Sti's (Shimano Total Integration), this makes shifting through the gears and braking a simultaneous operation and cornering at speed a lot safer. Crosstop style brake levers are becoming popular on cyclocross, tourers and road bikes, these fit in line with the brake cables and allow you to control the brakes from the tops of the handlebars.
