Bringing the first 2x10 MTB gearing and Avid's full featured brake to the legendary X0 line gives you a product family ready for any XC, Trail, All-Mountain, or DH battle.
SRAM X0 brings the right gear to your most heated trail battles—any terrain and every time. Building an X0 bike is a serious, zero compromise endeavor. Only X0 combines the highest-level technology options with a style that matches you perfectly. A flawless bike needs to do more than just work every ride; it needs to look the part.
In addition to SRAM's current colours, they are introducing the new chrome and polished X0 SILVER, reminiscent of their classic X0 design.
The X0 10 speed drivetrain, anchored by Truvativ's carbon crankset, takes advantage of XX technologies like X-Glide shifting, X-Dome cassettes and wide-range 2x10 gearing, while Avid X0 brakes dish out all the power and control you can handle.
Features include: All new light weight carbon crank that is strong enough to handle the epic all mountain adventure. X-Glide 2x10 and 3x10 shifting technology with 26-39, and 28-42 gearing. CNC machined 7mm AL rings with new GXP bottom bracket system featuring Gutter Seal Technology.
Available in the following bottom bracket configurations: BB30, and GXP.
Your chainset must fit onto your bottom bracket! There are currently four chainset/bottom bracket interfaces that you're likely to come across. If your bottom bracket is made by Shimano and it has splines, then you need an Octalink chainset. If your b/b is NOT made by Shimano and it has splines, it's almost certainly ISIS. There are a very few non-Shimano chainsets with Shimano Octalink interfaces so, to be sure, count the splines - ISIS has 9, Octalink has (surprise, surprise) 8. No matter which brand of b/b you have, if it has a square interface, it will require a traditional square taper chainset. If you have one of the new Hollowtech II systems, you will need to choose the exact chainset that matches your bottom bracket. Most MTB chainsets are now 9-speed compatible but these will work with an 8-speed system.
