Unlike any shoe on the market today, the Speed is designed specifically for a more natural walking experience. Built on an entirely new platform, the Speed features a Dri-lex® covered 3mm polyurethane insole (thickest under the ball) and a 4mm anatomical pod outsole design, that offers more plating protection and distributes forefoot impact without compromising important ground feedback, essential to a proper forefoot strike running form. A more athletic padded collar and topline, a lace closure and Mesh upper for improved ventilation.

|Foot shapes and sizes vary greatly. FiveFingers do provide some fit adjustment, but may not fit every foot type. To achieve the best fitting results for the particular style you are interested in, we recommend you to follow the sizing chart and instructions below.|

|1. Stand with your heels flush against a flat vertical wall.
2. Slide a ruler under each foot and measure the distance from the wall to the tip of the longest toe.
3. Take the longer of the two foot measurements
4. If the foot length varies more than 0,42cm it will be difficult to get a precise fit for both foot.
5. If the second toe is more than 0,42cm longer than your big toe it may be difficult to get a precise fit.

I do race triathlon (sprint and Olympic distance) without socks
After wearing them, i would not wear socks with them..
I got the shoe with laces and it is great...
I've worn mine for over a year and rarely put the toe socks on.
I've got some Injinji toe socks and it makes them awesome. However, if they are purely tri event shoes, you could get away with washing them a lot to keep the smell out and go without socks. They are still very comfortable without socks.
I've been running 20+ milesat a time in mine no problem.
These shoes make me run right up on my forefoot, so there is not much chance to over-pronate anyway.
you cannot run 'heel' strike in these just like you cannot run heel strike barefoot without significant pain.
Google search 'barefoot running', 'daniel lieberman', 'born to run' and read read read as much as you can.
I have no pain so far
The barefoot shoes offer little by the way of support, only protection from the trail/sidewalk and some grip as well. Because of limited support, these shoes would encourage you to run with a medial strike, so that would be a departure from your normal running form and not an easy adjustment for your feet. It's possible that this could lead to injury.
I recently bought a pair of barefoot shoes (New Balance minimus) for general wear around. They are comfortable and light, but offer no support and I'd not dream of running in them (I wear supportive shoes to correct for moderate overpronation).
