Wahoo Bike Case for iPhone 4.3 5 3 3

Good solid product Been using the case for just over a week now and it appears to be very good. The case seems to be very well made and mounts to my bike very securely. The phone is a very snug fit in the case and is well protected. There is a bit of fiddling about getting the lid off the case as there are six catches (two down either side and one top and bottom) and you have to make sure they are all properly open before removing the lid. Very good overall, glad I bought it. 12 January 2013

Good and not so good Good: the Ant+ sensor works. It does require a bit of firm pressure on the screen cover. Not so good: bulky case, but I suppose it has to be in order to protect it from the elements The handlebar attachment is semi-adjustable. You can't change the position of the phone from portrait to landscape direction easiy. It requires you to use a screwdriver rather than a simple twist movement/action. I bought this with a Garmin sensor and it's worked well together. 16 March 2012

Rugged and reliable - clean your iPhone contacts Firstly, double check the correct rubber insert is in place for your iPhone. Mine was preinstalled with the iPhone 3 insert, and whilst the iPhone 4 will fit with mild force, it won't work. I simply swapped over to the rubber insert for iPhone 4 (supplied) and got one out of four iPhone 4 working. Not a great start. I also recommend downloading the "Wahoo Utilities" app. This is used to confirm the device is connected. Initially, I had trouble connecting 3 x iPhone 4. The Wahoo email service was very responsive and suggested I clean the contacts on my iPhone and if that doesn't work, then take the iPhone to an Apple Store where it can be repaired or replaced. After using isopropyl on tissue paper and using a toothpick to wipe it across the contcts, this fixed two of the iPhone 4. I took the remaining one to Apple with the Wahoo case and after a quick demo of how it works with one iPhone and not the other, Apple promptly replaced the failiing iPhone (cool!). Also tested successfully on an iPhone 3. Now that I have it working on all the family's iPhones, it is an outstanding piece of kit. Does this power the iPod for extended battery life?

I'm confused as it says there is an optional auxiliary battery coming soon but also lists: "Wahoo Fitness rail mounted 2.3 AmpHour battery (1.5x that of the iPhone battery)"

Answer:

Wahoo have created an auxillary battery pack which slides under the bike case, then onto the handlebar mount. It allegedly extends the life of the iphone for about 4-5 hours riding time.
The auxillary battery is re-chargeable via USB cable.
