GPS receivers are now made waterproof, lightweight and small enough to fit on a bike easily. There are 2 basic choices to take on your bike: a GPS unit designed primarily for navigation with a dedicated bike mount, particularly suitable for cycle touring and finding your way in unfamiliar territory, like the Garmin eTrex Vista Cx; or a dedicated bike computer that uses GPS to track your training routes and provide detailed analysis of your workout like the Edge 305, with more limited navigation capabilities. Most units come with only very basic maps installed and you may need to purchase more detailed maps for your area to be loaded onto the unit for navigation.

All electrical goods sold on wiggle that come with a mains power supply are supplied with a UK plug. Please check the product description to see if any other plugs are known to be included in the box, otherwise you may need an adapter for use in your country. Most power adapters will accept 110-240 Volts.

Wahoo Premium Speed Cadence 5 5 4 4

Speed & Cadence it is I bought this in conjunction with the Fitness Pack, to use with my I_Phone 4 on my bike. I was slightly confused whilst fitting it as the pack did not contain the same bits as the instructions. So i fitted the rubber mat provided under the large part as the small probe had sticky feet. The small probe sensor goes near the crank and the large sensor towards the rear. A small magnet goes on the rear wheel spoke, and also on the crank arm. I checked the alignment and tried to register it. It took ages and failed because i tried to log it individually rather than as a combo. Once i realised that it registered ok, however it still did not show on screen. In desperation i held my phone near the crank and turned the pedals and it worked. Since then i have reocrded my speed, cadence and distance ridden on my turbo. It motivates me to ride every day, and gives me accurate feedback on my ride performance. I now don't know how i ever managed without it. It is fantastic and i highly recommend it. 11 February 2013

After having 3 Garmin speed/cadence sensors die within 2 years (usually after a particularly wet ride) I was very reluctant to spend money on yet another one. I therefore, decided to give this one a go and so far so good. It works flawlessly with my Garmin Edge 500, it was just as easy to set up as the Garmin sensor and as far as I can tell its every bit as accurate. It looks to be a lot better sealed and so far has coped with a few downpours and snow without problem. I guess only time will tell how durable (waterproof) it is, but it can't be any worse that Garmin's own unit. I'll definitely be buying another for my second bike. 24 January 2013

Good quality product... This is the second one I've bought - the first is for my main bike & the latest was for my trainer. Product has good adjustment, good build quality and is easy to install (under 10 minutes with adjustment). Connects readily to my Ant+ Bryton 20. The only very minor quibble is that the spoke magnet has a cheap plastic backing, so it is relatively easy to strip the thread when tightening the magnet onto the spoke (in which case it will be loose). Either be careful not to over-tighten; or get an after market wheel magnet of better quality. Overall, an excellent product at a reasonable price point. Worth getting. :-) 20 December 2012

Brilliant I already had an ANT+ dongle for my phone along with a heart rate monitor so it wasn't too big a step to add these sensors to the bike for the almost-full suite (no power monitor but that gets pricey!) I find that being able to see cadence, even though you can obviously feel it anyway, is really quite motivating. Also it gets rind of that horribly demotivating issue of GPS speedos where it has no idea of your real current speed, so you can add power and it'll think you're slowing down or vice versa. This is accurate and up-to-date, so you can see how the effort you're putting in is affecting your speed right now. Simple to fit too if you follow the instructions, though the cable ties are a little sloppy I can't think of a better way to do it for the price! 06 October 2012
